Tsuko v. Cuvier

Setting: Dense forest(many trees)

Tsuko stares down his opponent trying to figure out his technique. His heart beats as he waits for the first move.

Cuvier keeps staring Tsuko, also waiting for a move. He holds Cactus Killer's arm, in case he needs to pull it out quickly. Since neither Genin was moving, it seemed more like a staring contest rather than a fight.

"I'll let you go first", Cuvier said while taking out Cactus Killer and linking it to his Chakra Threads.

Tsuko starts with his hand signs

SHARINGAN

He continues his hand signs

CLONE JUTSU

Cuvier reacts quickly. Using the Body Flicker technique, he steps behind Tsuko, assaulting him with Cactus Killer and its poisonous thorns from behind. "I'd like to see if you have more to offer", he said.

Tsuko watches as his clone is destroyed.

"I guess now is a good time to tell you ive got quite a grip on your puppet"

Tsuko lifts his hands to reveal his own chakra threads on Cactus-Killer

"Well, that's surprising. You decide, are we fighting for my puppet or are we fighting for our lives?", he claimed, mad from partially losing control of his puppet.

"Let's see if you manage to control my puppet now. Jutsu! Temporary Paralysis Technique!". Cuvier then ran after Tsuko's Chakra Threads with a kunai, attempting to cut them.

Tsuko drops from a tree.

"Im no puppeteer, but im great at hiding"

While Cuvier is busy attacking the second clone, Tsuko throws 3 kunai directly at him

Cvuier rolls on the floor, barely managing to avoid the first two kunai. The third one, however, went right into his leg. He couldn't walk so well due to the wound, so he decided to go on the tank strategy. Calling Cactus Killer back, he put it right in front of him to serve as a shield. Then, by Cuvier's command, a barrage of poison needles comes out from the puppet's eyes. "Things aren't looking so well. I hope I'll manage to get away from this with not so many scars", he tought.

"If only you were just a bit more skilled in Taijutso. Id be happy to teach ya, if you make it out alive that is"

The hand signs begin again

"CLONE JUTSU"

The hand signs continue

"CLOAK OF SHADOWS"

All three of the clone fade to darkness

"Taijutsu? Isn't that the name they give to current hit pop stars?", Cuvier replied with a more ironic tone.

"Well, I may not know Taijutsu, but I do have my own personal techniques.", he replied.

He got inside Cactus Killer quickly. The puppet then shot a barrage of poisonous needles in everything that was considered a direction, except for its own insides. "I hope this manages to stun him for a while, so that I can rest my leg", he thought.

Tsuko slowly removes the needle from his vest hoping to make no sound. The needle was just barely stopped by his trusty ninja handbook. Good thing Dad made him carry it everywhere he went. Another inch in and he would be a goner.
'I should tell him i love him' thought Tsuko

"Is that the best youve got?"

The voice seemed to come from 3 different areas.

"Lets see if youre ready for my newest jutsu, LIGHTING SHOTGUN"

Multiple beams of light protruded from each clones hands all at once

Cuvier, noticing the sound of lightning, attempted to react. Getting out of Cactus Killer, he cut a tree with Cactus Killer's sharp nails and threw it at Tsuko. Doing some seals, he then casted: "Jutsu! Shadow Shuriken Technique!". Two pairs of small Fuma shurikens were fired out of Cactus Killer's elbows, flying at a great speed and in a tricky-to-dodge arch.
"I cannot let myself be destroyed by such a cheap technique. I must oppose as much resisatnce as I can!", he thought.

3 shuriken quickly pelted the clones. Tsuko hid behind a distant tree.

'Think Tsuko. Whats the best way to counteract a defensive ninja?' MENTALLY!'

Tsuko quickly starts his hand signs

"SUBMISSION JUTSU"

"Im in your head now. Lets fight in here for now"

Cuvier, recalling having heard of this technique by his grandpa, thought "I think I remember how to get out of this".

Struggling to control the chakra threads, he manipulated them so as to make Cactus Killer fire a small, non-poisonous needle into his own leg, to see if the shock sent through his nerves would manage to knock Tsuko off his mind.

"I hope I'm doing this right. If not, I am totally screwed up", he thought.

'Ugh, this is taking too much time. What was that technique dad did? Lightning Blade. He said i cant handle that yet... No point in trying, hes usually right. Best to stick to my own technique' Tsuko Thought

"Time for the easy out,

TEMPORARY PARALYSIS TECHNIQUE"

Cuvier got stuck where he was standing. He could barely control Cactus Killer, and he couldn't do a move as advanced as attacking, since that would have required extensive movements. "The best I can do is to use Cactus Killer as a shield from whatever angle my opponent may come, until I can move again and counterattack", he thought.

Tsuko had him right where he wanted. All he had to do is finish it.

"CHAKRA THREADS! Now the real game begins"

Cuvier regained some of his control, where he used to attempt to fire poisonous needles at Tsuko. However, things were starting to look grim as the opponent was trying to take hold of the puppet. Cuvier attempted to resist until he could do hand seals again. "Jutsu! Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique!". While his opponent was distracted, he shot a pair of missiles from Cactus Killer's toes at Tsuko to see if an explosion would manage to calm things down for his side.
It was either an all-or-nothing attack. Hiding on a tree, he waited for the smoke to fade away to see if his opponent was still alive.

Tsuko couldnt believe what just happened. His inner fears were revealed to the opponent.

'Calm down, now isnt the time to panic' he thought

Tsuko remained in his tree, resting, until he realized...

'IVE BEEN STUCK!'

Maybe now was the time to panic. How long ago had he been stuck? He didnt know. However the poison didnt seem to be taking affect. Maybe its just adrenaline. Maybe its a cheap poison. Either way there wasnt time to think about it, its now or never.

Hand sign after hand sign began to flow as as Tsuko did his Genjutsu Clone jutsu over and over again.

'Ive got about a fourth of my chakra left, time to attack!'

Ten Tsukos poured out of the forest focused on Cuvier

"Ive got you now"

"Oh, you did? Well then try to catch me if you can". Cuvier started jumping from tree to tree, running away from Tsuko, while commanding Cactus Killer to shoot poisonous needles whenever Tsuko had an opening. "I might win. I hope I do.", he thought.

Tsuko dropped from the tree branch above Cuvier

"Do you still not understand how i use my clones", he says with a smile

At point blank range, Tsuko is ready to finish him

"LIGHTNING STYLE: LIGHTNING SHOTGUN JUTSU"

Cuvier got surprised by the sudden appearance of Tsuko. He tried to use Cactus Killer as a shield, but that didn't do much other than making its arms fall off. Cuvier got hit by the attack and fell to the ground. Seeing that he was spasming on the floor by Tsuko's Lightning Shotgun and unable to fire most of his artillery because of Cactus Killer's dismemberment, he decided to admit his defeat before anything worse happened.

"I could have got this if I used a Substitution Jutsu back there. It's a shame I was sleeping at the moment they explained how to do it back at the academy. Never thought it'd cost me a win", he admitted as he stopped suffering from the electricity.

When he could manage to get back up, he walked calmly to the entrance of the forest. "I have to say, it was fun. Maybe we should battle another time", he said, smiling.

"Here, let me help you back home"

Tsuko puts Cuvier's arm around his shoulder as he attempts to hobble him to the nearest infirmary.

"Im going in the same direction anyways", he says with a smile
