Moku vs. Xero

While strolling around the village, Xero came across the training grounds. He saw a ninja there with short, spiky hair that looked like he was meditating there. Xero thought maybe he could use some practice so he stepped out into the arena.

"You there, looks like you could use some action. How about it?"

Moku was in the Mist this week. He was a messenger from the Cloud, carrying a scroll he was forbidden to look into. But he did not mind. He was often sent on these missions, used as the Raikage's errand boy, and Moku enjoyed it. Not being ordered around, but having the chance to see so many new areas, and so many new people. Moku was meditating at the training grounds before he left the Mist, and with the next event he became glad he waited to leave, fore he was challenged. Dully aware of the newcomer's approach, Moku looked up at the man, and hearing what the man said, he decided to take the man on.

In preparation, Moku loosened his Katana in its scabbard and rearranged it so it was in the perfect place for the fastest draw. He straightened his clothes and his forehead protector. For the final part of his preparation, Moku activated his Sharingan, and drew his blade. Moku gazed into the sword and his eyes were reflected clearly into its surface. The words which next flowed from Moku's mouth were emotionless. "Make your move."

Xero watched carefully at Moku's every move. He had heard of the legendary sharingan and knew of it's techniques. He would have to play this smart if he was going to win this battle. First he had to engage his opponent's reflexes to find any weak spots. Using a few hand signs, Xero started to cast his Body Flicker Technique. Disappearing in a cloud of smoke, Xero made a way behind his opponent and sent a few kunai in his direction.

"Let's see what he'll do about this," Xero thought to himself.

Moku saw his opponant disappear and reappear, the kunai sailing to him, both thanks to his Sharingan. At this thought the three tomoe began spinning rapidly. He was still in a sort of meditation trance, so that his movements were completely smooth and his mind worked like the gentle flow of a stream, steady with no points along the banks which were subject to flood. In accordance to his graceful mind, Moku's body moved so gracefully in his next actions, he almost seemed to dance. Moku flourished his Katana and parried the kunai flowing toward him, his eyes still perfectly reflected by the blade.

Moku's lips curled into a smile as he felt his partial Raiton: Armor take part in his feet. This wsa similar to the Raikage's Raiton armor, except that fact that he could only manifest it on his extremities and only one of those at that. With his newly added speed from the Raiton: Armor, Moku dashed forward at speeds tremendous for a genin to muster. With this, Moku swung at his opponant's midsection and Moku's eyes never left the blade, nor his opponent, because Moku kept the blade in between them the entire time, so as to be viewing both.

Xero was a bit surprised at the speed of this young ninja. The graceful moves with which he dodged the first attack were quite a sight to see. "It seems that Sharingan of his is very honed. However, he cannot keep up with a taijutsu if his body cannot react quick enough," Xero thought.

Using a counter technique taught to him by Haku, he steadily watched Moku's every movement as he edged closer. As Moku swung, Xero used Youkai's Whisper to dodge at the very last second by leaping over the blade. In the counter strike, Xero quickly grabbed a hidden needle from his belt and aimed to stick it into Moku's dominant wrist while he completed the swing of his sword.

"This ought to disable his sword hand," Xero figured.

Moku was a bit amazed at the ability of this ninja. Not many could keep up with the speed of his run in this form, but the random genin who challenged him seemed to be able to. Moku's attack was dodged fairly easily, but he did not mind, for his enemy had jumped. The jump of his enemy would be the fatal mistake he made, and it would be what Moku hoped to disable his opponent with. Moku's Sharingan followed the movements of his opponent and Moku saw a barely discernible needle in perfect trajectory to his left hand. "Fuck," Moku thought. Shifting his partial Raiton: Armor from his feet to his hands, his hands became armored and reinforced, causing the needle to glance off.

Now was Moku's turn to counterattack. The added Raiton: Armor that moved to his hands also spread across his katana, causing it to be enhanced by the Raiton. Moku's opponant could not change direction in midair and so Moku was able to use his Sharingan to calculate the exact trajectory of his opponent. Moku thrust his Raiton-enhanced katana at his opponent's gut at tremendous speeds due to the speed enhancement of the partial Raiton: Armor to his hands, and the speed enhanced katana due to the lightning, such being natural to lightning, and at tremendous force, enough to smash through a boulder, because of the same reasoning. There was no way to dodge this attack by spinning or throwing himself in midair because Moku had aimed the Katana at his opponent's gut, the center of his body. In addition to this, were his opponent to defend with ice, it would smash right through it and still be a fatal wound.

When Xero's hand was parried by the armor, he knew another strike would be coming soon. In order to brace himself, he pushed his hand against the armor as hard as he could to get a small yet crucial amount of distance between him and Moku. Seeing Moku's hand preparing to thrust and with no way to dodge, Xero figured the only thing he could do would be to launch a subsequent attack at Moku's hands. He had been preparing his other hand with a needle for a second attack but instead of going for a lethal point as he had planned, he went for Moku's arm to move the trajectory of the blade. Even if he would get struck, it would not be fatal, and he would be able to keep his body alive by using his ice chakra until he could get medical attention. After all, he had already been frozen once. This strategy also placed a threat upon Moku because Xero coated all of his needles with poison before the battle which would immobilize Moku and eventually kill him if left untreated.

Heh, this guy was persistent. Moku was beginning to enjoy this fight, and at this point he lost all sense of boredom. Moku's sword bit flesh with a thud, and down came his enemy's arm with a needle. Moku had fought guys like this before, and he knew one accurate strike would be the end of him. With his right hand, still electrified, and the one not holding the blade, Moku reached into his pouch of ninja tools positioned just above his rear and pulled from it a shuriken. This shuriken became enhanced by the electricity about his hands, but not so much as his katana, for his katana was a chakra blade. Moku, at this point threw his shuriken at his enemy's corresponding arm which had the needle in hand, particularly the bicep muscle. Moku doubted by any means his opponant could defend against this, and he knew if it hit, it would sever the bicep muscle, knocking his enemy's arm off course and causing him to not have any control over it. And of course, while all of this was going on, Moku's katana was electrocuting his opponent.

At this point, Moku dashed backwards, leaving his blade inside his opponent. While moving backwards, Moku deactivated his Partial Raiton Armor, as he was not going to be able to sustain it much longer. When Moku was about 7 feet away from his opponent, he made the hand signs to Katon: Great Fireball Technique and screamed the words out loud. From Moku's lips erupted a huge ball of flame, the heat searing Moku's face, and he launched this technique at his opponent. Were it to hit, if his opponent was not already defeated, this would completely disable his opponent and Moku would have to rush him directly to the hospital so as to avoid death.

Xero was feeling weak, and seeing the large fireball coming at him, his hopes dwindled. But Xero knew he couldn't give up. Then he thought of something, he now held the opponent's main threatening weapon. The only thing that was an issue was the sharingan, which the enemy just gave a large ball of cover. If there was ever a time to do something, now was the time. Xero took the chakra sword out of his hand. He quickly did some hand signs for a jutsu, then started honing his chakra into the sword. "Time to try something different."

Xero had placed his wind chakra into the sword, knowing that this would cause an explosion that could distract the enemy. Xero threw the sword straight ahead, then activated his Body Flicker Technique that he had just molded chakra for moments before. With a quick burst of speed, using a cover of smoke behind the great fireball, Xero made his way to the left side Moku. From this position he threw a few more poison needles in the direction of his opponent, but he was not finished. As the explosion was taking place, he once again activated the Body Flicker to move to his opponent's right side, throwing more poison needles at the opponent, all aiming at the back of the target's neck. His aiming may have been a bit off because of the surging electricity in his body, but as long as the needles hit anywhere, then this could mean a victory. If not, Xero wasn't sure if he could go on any longer.

Moku was confident he had finished his opponent and had almost let his guard down untill he saw a faint indication of movement to his left. When he turn his head it was too late, and he was not getting out of there with normal movements. But then his opponent made a mistake. His opponent did the Body Flicker Technique, this which Moku used his Sharingan to copy, moving about 20 feet away directly behind his position which his opponent was aiming for, away from the Fireball Technique. Moku's opponent appeared across from where he was originally, putting him in direct harm's way of the attack he had just launched. Moku hoped this would at least injure his opponent.

From here, Moku had to conserve his chakra, for his Partial Raiton Armor had drained a good amount of his chakra and he needed to conserve what little he had left in case of its need. Moku reached behind him into his rear pouch and threw 2 shurikens at his opponent, the speed of their rotation causing them to have a sliding arch so as one to strike his opponent in the front and one to strike his opponent in the back. In addition to this, the shuriken striking the front was aimed just below the throat, as he feared killing his sparring partner, and the other was in motion to hit the back of his opponent's knee. Moku had to be very careful, as his opponent was already very injured, and he did not want to risk killing him.

Xero knew he would not last much longer in this fight. He had given it his all but it seemed his opponent was too much for him. He was striving just to keep himself alive. Seeing the shuriken coming at him, he quickly took out two of his own to counter them. Luckily the opponent seemed to be running out of chakra so they did not contain the Raiton power behind them. Xero could barely stand at this point and fell down to one knee.

"That power of yours, I have not experienced it before. I have much to learn, but I cannot continue this battle. Victory is yours for now, but we will fight again. Until then, my name is Xero, the Frost Ninja of the Hidden Mist."

When Moku saw his opponent fall to one knee, he was no longer his opponent. And when Xero introduced himself, he became an ally. "I am Moku. Mokuntaku Uchiha, and he need to get you to the hospital." Moku once again activated his Partial Raiton Armor for the purpose which he had been saving the chakra for. Moku hoped that with Partial Raiton Armor he could get his newfound ally to the hospital in time. At full speed, Moku dashed toward his katana and resheathed it. From here Moku picked up his newfound ally and carried him to the Emergency Room of the ninja hospital.

He spoke to the lady at the front desk. "This man needs to be treated for flesh wounds and poison." Handing Xero to the lady at the front desk, she put him on a rolling bed. However, when she had turned back around to ask Moku questions, Moku was gone.
